Lewis Girls have a reunion....

A while a go Lindsay decided to pay us a visit while Morgan did his surgery rotation. She arrived a week ago last Wednesday. She put together a great quilt top. I am sure that you will be seeing it on her blog in the coming weeks. She also learned how to crochet. We have had a lot of fun with her, Max, and little Miss London. Then last Wednesday Tracie arrived with Spencer. We all went to the Draper Temple Open House. Liz, Josh, Jenn, Kate, and John were all with us. It was late and crowded, but very nice. Beautiful temple!! Yesterday we got to go to Christy's and do pictures with the kids. Even though they weren't very happy about it, we got some great pictures. Then today we had London's blessing here at the house. Her daddy gave her a beautiful blessing. It was a wonderful day. Then Jenn took her family back to Logan, and the rest of us did pedicures. The cousins have had a lot of fun together. It has been so fun to get caught up and spend some time together.

Busy little bee...

With a new sewing machine, I've just got all the projects in the world to start on. Or finish.

I'm all excited about how cute this one is. The fabric is supposed to be like the flag. Blue background, white stars on the upper left, red and white upper right and the bottom... Hooray! (This one's been hanging out unfinished since 2005.)

Kate's special pillow.... I've decided to deck out her room in lavendar (that's the fancy word for light purple. Just ask Fancy Nancy!) and so, we starting small. She likes it. She lines this one and her I'm a child of God one up with her QUILT on her bed. She's very orderly.

And this is my awesome find at walmart. I don't know exactly what I'm going to do with it just yet- but I soon will. It will probably be something for Johnny seeings how his room is tan/brown/blue. But I just adore the pattern- PROJECTS :) !!
Thanks for indulging me. Next post will be the cute heart on my front door... I was meant to have a house. (Even if it's literally stuck to 2 other houses and a few extra. It's still a house!)

Mediation

The lesson that I am doing at school is on Mediation. As I found myself using these steps with those two old folks in my life, I realized that we can all benefit from this lesson. These are the steps that I teach the kids.
The rules sound a lot like "Good Face, Good Voice, Good Words", don't you think!

We also have a lesson called GPS, which is a plan for solving problems. The first step is "GET CALM". Then P is "plan with self and others", and S is "solve or start again". I know that you all get sick of me talking about this stuff, but I see how it helps kids and parents every day!!

Jennifer Laura Lewis Cunningham

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JENNIFER....You are 29 years old today. I can't believe it. I was just about your age when you were born. You had a big sister home waiting for you just like Johnny did. You were a mellow baby, a very helpful kid, a challenging teenage, and a great young adult. You have made a wonderful life for yourself in Logan. You have an adorable family and you are a great mom, wife, daughter, and child of God. I always learn something from you about being a better person whenever I am with you. Thanks for the many things that you do for our family. We all love you very much Jenn-girl, and we are all so grateful that you are part of our lives. Oh, and when the days are longer, we want more visits!! LOVEYOUTONSANDTONSMOM
