WELCOME HOME!!

THANKS LIZ!

Wow. What a week. This week was so much harder than I ever thought it was going to be. It was so tough seeing Bill go through such a difficult ordeal. They say that when someone donates it is harder than when someone receives. Well, Bill felt that to some degree when they removed his kidney. But when someone donates, generally, they are in good health. Bill was/is not. His red blood cell count is low, and he feels kinda bad. So he had major surgery and then lost what little kidney function he had. Then he couldn't have much dialysis until he had recovered some from the surgery. Bill doesn't do well with the pain medication. It makes him sick, and his throat was scratched from whatever it is they stick down it for surgery. All in all, it was something that we are so grateful is behind us instead of ahead. We appreciate the love and concern of wonderful family and friends. I can't believe all of the flowers, visits, "care" packages, prayers, meals, and good wishes. We are so blessed. Thanks everyone for your many phone calls and your concern. It all means so much. Great day today. Sleeping in our own bed!!

Love to Quilt

What can I say? I am addicted!! This is my first "big" quilt, and it is all done. It is for Liz and Josh. She picked the colors. The whole family helped decide what would look the best. We had quilt squares all over the kitchen floor several nights. FUN FUN FUN!!

My tough guy....

Bill is feeling a little better today. We just took a little walk around the 10th floor. We will be going home on Friday AM. We are on the road to better days. Thanks for all of your love and support. We are so blessed with a wonderful family and friends.

Who is always holding one of our children.

I finally finished the projects I started in Utah! Thanks for the crochet lessons, mom! (I have no clue how to spell that word??) London loves her new blanket! And I love it because now I don't have to rush to do laundry every time something happens to her Hawaiian one.
And phew, finally finished that apron. It took a week of my kitchen being a mess to finish that one off and I'm glad I did. I wear it to cook, actually, and although it's not perfect, it's cute and I'm really glad I took on the challenge of making it. I don't know if I could teach it for a class, though.

Will we really be "empty nesters"?

Bill and I were sound asleep when Liz took this picture. Ally really thinks that it would be nice if I just fell off of the bed. She and Bill have really become great pals. They snuggle by the fire all of the time, and now in bed. I kind of miss being spoons with Bill. Oh well.........

Considering that it was the end of the day, and the kids were SO cranky!!! These pictures are just adorable!!

June 30, 2009 Save the date for Liz and Josh. He proposed yesterday on a hike in Mueller Park while looking at the statue of Moroni on the Bountiful Temple. Congratulations you cuties!!
