Our next day celebration started about six AM. Bill and I were up putting a turkey and a turkey breast in the oven. We went back to bed for a bit. We had many helpers. Everyone pitched in to make it all special. It was a very nice meal. It has been at least five years since I have cooked a Thanksgiving dinner. We had all of the usual dishes. We all sat at the table together. We had Ole and Ida and Lainey, their helper, for the day. That worked out way better than we ever expected that it would. We all did our little "what we were thankful for". Dad said he was thankful that he could still say "thankful". Mom said she was thankful for her family. I was thankful that we were all there. We missed the Mathies. We were supposed to have Jack and Kim from SPA Nails. Everyone was a little upset that I invited them. I was a little surprised that they said yes. Everyone was a little relieved that they didn't come.
We do have so many blessings in our lives. Life is very good for us. It is nice to have a day to reflect on family, testimony, and blessings.

It sounds like a busy Thanksgiving! We sure missed being up in Utah (not so much the drive, though). It was nice being able to celebrate as a little family, but definitely hard not being with the entire fam. AWFUL about Jenn and Codye!
I'm sad I missed this night!!
Ok, I saw these pictures a few days ago, but we are having SERIOUS internet problems (along with other things...) so I couldn't comment. But, I seem to have a stable connection now, so, here goes. Okay, the dinner was fun. Kate and the "present" on her head? I am so glad you got a picture. That was honestly the highlight of the evening. What a night! Boy oh boy are the Cunningham's thankful for you, Mom & Bill. You guys are awesome.
P.S. I wasn't upset about the invite to Jack & Kim. I think I just wouldn't have known what to do if someone brought beer into your house. That was my only concern.
And, yeah, about the car. That's a sign. It was the Lord's way of saying, "See? You wanted to live here and buy a house and I directed you to Logan where you will feel safe, secure... Aren't you GLAD you listened to ME?" Man, i was grateful when Codye came back to the restaurant unscathed...
Mom, your thanksgiving was awesome. I felt so bad that we (well, Johnny) kept everyone up the night before. But it was fun watching you and Bill in the kitchen together at 6am! You are so lucky to have each other.
